1. All maintenance fees, resort fees, special assessment fees or any other fees must be paid in full prior to any interval deposit.
2. Intervals are only valid for the V.O.I.C.E. program if they are submitted at least 7 to 12 months prior to the date of use.
3. Members can only submit 4 intervals per calendar year, based on the date of submission, to the V.O.I.C.E. program. Only 1 interval with the same travel dates or week number may be submitted for the same resort per member, per calendar year.
4. Membership fees must be paid through the arrival date of the deposited week. If a membership is set to expire prior to the arrival date of the deposited week, the member must first pay the membership renewal fee.
5. The interval deposited by the Member cannot be utilized, issued or assigned to another party or exchange company once deposit has been confirmed by Vacation Owners.
6. Floating intervals must first be fixed and assigned to a specific unit and time period before being submitted for deposit acceptance in the V.O.I.C.E. program.
7. Members will need to return the completed unit release form within one (1) weeks of depositing their week into the V.O.I.C.E. program. If Vacation Owners does not receive the unit release form within that timeframe, the deposit will be denied and the $75 USD application fee will be refunded to the member.
8. If the interval was booked through another exchange company and then deposited into the V.O.I.C.E. program, the member is responsible for any additional fees incurred by the exchange company and additional terms and conditions may apply.
9. Name Change Option - Depending on the resort's policies, a resort may require that a member modify the name on the reservation themselves once an alternate guest has been found. The pending Reward Credits are to be placed on hold until the week has passed as to verify the name change has been made. Should the name on the reservation not be changed prior to the arrival date, you will not receive the Reward Credits. If no alternate guest is found to take over your week, the pending Reward Credits will be released to your account once the week has passed.
10. Members may cancel their VOICE deposit prior to receipt of confirmation by email of the successful week request fulfillment. Once confirmation has been issued, the exchange is final and is not subject to refund of any kind including reward credits or monetary valuation of the interval. Further, if for any reason a deposited interval cannot be used, including but not limited to; damage or destruction of the property, weather or other acts of god that are outside the control of the Vacation Owners, Vacation Owners is not liable for any additional expenses incurred by the Member or obligated to refund any reward credits used in the completed transaction.
11. The $75 USD application fee is non-refundable. If for any reason Vacation Owners is unable to communicate with the resort or resort developer to complete the verification process, the $75 application fee will be refunded to the member and the member will need to contact the resort directly to get the verification information. If verification information is issued, the member will then need to email or fax the appropriate documentation to Vacation Owners at voice@vacationowners.net or 877-737-1542 and can reapply to use the V.O.I.C.E program.
12. Any interval deposited in exchange for reward credits may be used by Vacation Owners solely at their discretion, including commercial use, trade or rental.
13. Compensation for deposited intervals will be in the form of reward credits which can be used to purchase other travel and leisure products in the Vacation Owners website.
Chargeback Policy
By making a booking on the My Discount Travel online payment platform, you agree to the Terms and Conditions, Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy, along with this Chargeback Policy.
Chargebacks occur when your credit card provider requests that My Discount Travel returns monies on a transaction which you dispute or claim is fraudulent.
My Discount Travel recognizes that chargebacks can happen for a variety of valid reasons. However, if you make a credit card payment through My Discount Travel in respect of a booking, and you later dispute this legitimate charge by raising a chargeback without merit (in our sole discretion), whether fraudulently or otherwise, we may take steps to recover any charges resulting from such an unmerited chargeback from you directly. Unmerited chargebacks include but are not limited to: disputing a charge made in accordance with the Cancellation policy; disputing a charge made in respect of the rental in which you fail to make reasonable efforts to work with the My Discount Travel or rental provider to resolve any issues; or requesting a chargeback without a legitimate reason and/or failing to provide any supporting information in respect of the chargeback to allow those parties from which the chargeback is requested to assess the basis of the chargeback request.
My Discount Travel takes a zero tolerance approach to chargeback fraud. Furthermore, in the event of any unmerited chargeback requests, we reserve the right to recover monies by any legitimate means available to us, including using a third-party debt collection agency, or any other lawful means to recover funds successfully charged back to you in such circumstances.
